Dialer
A dialer is an electronic device which makes telephone calls and delivers a recorded message to anyone who answers the phone. Sometimes a human attendant plays a part in that once the dialer reaches someone the attendant takes over the call and pitches the product/service. The dialer can also deliver a recorded message first and then the called party can request to talk to a human about the offer by pressing 0 on their touchtone phone.Other names for dialers are telecomputers, predictive dialers, ADADs (Automatic Dialing and Announcing Devices) and auto dialers.
